I believe that research is an integral part of society and contributes to propelling innovation forward to improve the lives of all people. What has motivated me to contribute is that after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel disease) and suffering through the physical and mental challenges of the illness, I struggled to find the positives in this experience.

After coming across The Kids Research Institute Australia and realising I can share my experiences to assist with research, I have finally found a positive way to view the challenges of the past years and use these experiences to help others.
