The Kids is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Administrator to provide effective administration support to researchers and staff.

The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to researchers and team staff in the Skin Health team to ensure efficient functioning and achievement of goals within time constraints. This position would suit someone with excellent administration & organisation skills who is a team player.

This is a part-time role fixed term for 1 year. Hours will be dependent on the successful applicant.

The Role

This role would suit someone who has a broad range of administrative skills and experience.  The position will be require someone who is adept in multi-tasking and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.  These will include diary management, agenda and minute preparation, travel arrangements and supporting grant applications, and project budgets/finance.

You will be part of a fast paced growing research team, with flexible hours to allow a work/life balance.

Essential Criteria:
• Minimum 3 years experience in an office administration position
• Excellent organisational skills
• Sound experience providing support with financial management
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and to set priorities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficiency in a standard array of software packages (e.g., Windows suite)
• Self motivated, flexible and friendly
 
Desirable:
• Office administration experience in a medical, research or academic environment
• Interest in Aboriginal health
• Experience in dealing with corporate travel and insurance requirements
• Exposure to funding and grant submissions
• Exposure to research/grant management software, referencing software (e.g. endnote)
• Experience working as part of teams working across multiple physical sites / remote sites

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement. Remuneration package includes access to generous salary packaging.
