Communications Officer

The Opportunity

The Communications and Development team implements the Institute's overall communications, marketing and philanthropy strategies, as well as supporting researchers, teams and projects to promote their work and achievements.

The Role

We're looking for a talented Communications Officer to join our dynamic growing team.

This is an entry-level opportunity that would suit a recent outstanding graduate, or someone with 2-5 years communications/public relations experience. This is a full-time position for a fixed term of 3 years, with the possibility of extension.

Your Experience

The successful candidate will have a communications, public relations or marketing degree with relevant intern or work experience. We're looking for someone who is passionate about science and child health and is pro-active, hardworking, hands-on and a team player.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who has:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills and a keen an eye for detail.
  • A strong interest in innovative communication channels including video and digital.
  • The ability to think creatively and show initiative.
  • A positive can-do attitude and great relationship building skills.

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
