Key Relationships Manager (Senior)

This is a permanent full time position.

The Opportunity

In this role, reporting to the Head of Development, you will be responsible for leading and managing a successful major donor strategy.

This role is a full time, 3 year contract.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Development and the team, you will develop and maintain relationships with individual and organisational donors who are inspired by the Institutes mission to improve the health, development and lives of children and young people through excellence in research.

You will be responsible for leading and managing The Kids Research Institute Australias successful major donor strategy that adds real value in achieving Institute objectives.  The role will also lead and inspire a dedicated team.

 The Experience

You will be an astute, passionate and experienced relationship manager who thrives under pressure whilst handling competing priorities with a relevant tertiary qualification. The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Extensive and demonstrable experience in fundraising or business development, including minimum five years' experience at a senior level.
  • Experience of working with high-level committees to deliver major financial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and work effectively in a complex and changing environment with at least five years' people management experience. 
  • A strategic, creative and practical thinker and planner.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior people skills - caring, consultative, collaborative and collegial - with the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships that create confidence.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand donor motivations and develop targeted and appropriate engagement opportunities and proposals.

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check and Proof of working rights in Australia prior to commencement.
