Leadership & Organisational Development Business Partner

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Leadership & OD Business Partner to support the Manager to develop and implement strategic leadership and organisational development projects.

The Leadership & Organisational Development Business Partner is dedicated to supporting the development and delivery of strategic organisational development projects in line with Institute objectives. Supporting the Manager, Leadership & Organisational Development, the role will be responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering leadership, training and development projects including coaching and team development, mentoring, work experience and career development programs, gender and equity programs, survey and training analyses, and initiatives aimed at supporting the students based at The Kids.

The Role

This position will have a key role in managing the Institute Learning Management System (LMS) and will be part of the People & Culture team that will play a vital role in supporting the Institute's ongoing commitment to the growth and development of all staff and students.

The role will:

  • Manage and provide support to undertake organisational development projects
  • Support the development of key leadership programs
  • Develop and deliver workshops aimed at building staff capacity
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff and student
  • Manage the Institute's Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Contribute to career development and mentoring programs
  • Support the Institute's student program
  • Work across the team to develop and deliver key projects
  • Partner with leaders and managers to identify training and development needs
  • Coordinate the Institute's Adjunct renewal process
  • Assist with managing student and staff databases.

We are looking for someone with passion, energy and exceptional communication and presentation skills. We ask that applicants address the essential criteria outlined in the job description in their application. 

This role is a 3 year full-time appointment with the possibility of extension.

The Experience

The successful applicant will obtain the following:

  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in a learning and development or organisational development role, including the development, management and implementation of contemporary coaching, training and team development initiatives
  • Proven high level knowledge and experience in project management and delivery of required outcomes in accordance with specified timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically; be able to identify future needs of the internal and external stakeholders and develop appropriate organisational responses
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, preferably in a university/academic environment
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to deliver information to a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of the Institute: (e.g. researchers, clinicians, funding bodies, professional staff)
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve problems; be proactive and initiate action to deal with issues when they arise
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with MS Office suite, Outlook

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
