People and Culture Officer

The Opportunity

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within our People & Culture team to undertake the role of People and Culture Officer on a 6-month full-time contract with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months.

The Role

This position is to provide support and co-ordination within our highly dedicated and energetic People & Culture team and will see you supporting day to day P&C Administrative tasks such as:

  • Data entry
  • Contract generation and letters of offer
  • Assistance with Recruitment & Onboarding activities
  • Manage and process pre-employment checks
  • Support the payroll team with employee enquiries and administrative tasks
  • Reporting and ad-hoc tasks as directed by Manager, People and Employee Relations
  • Filing and administrative tasks to support the People & Culture team

The successful candidate will have Intermediate to Advanced skills across the Microsoft suite of products, as well as the ability to multitask and respond to enquiries in a friendly and professional manner. We are seeking a positive and proactive person who will bring a lot of energy into the role and has strong eye for detail!

Experience

You will have the following attributes:

  • 3+ Years Human Resource administrative experience
  • Positive and professional with a customer service mentality in everything you do
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to build positive working relationships to get things done
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience and ability to quickly learn new systems with training
  • Ability to exercise initiative and work both independently and co-operatively as required

Knowledge of confidentiality principles.

This is a full time role, fixed term for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police check prior to commencement.
