Studying Biology at single-cell resolution is set to revolutionize our understanding of human health and disease.

Full time

2 years with the possibility of extension

Studying Biology at single-cell resolution is set to
revolutionize our understanding of human health and disease. The
field is driven by rapid technological advances allowing us to
study increasingly large number of cells with a growing
repertoire of assays. Interpretation and integration of these
large and complex data-sets is a key challenge.

The Computational Biology Lab at The Kids Research Institute Australia, led
by Dr Timo Lassmann, has recently partnered with Cancer
Researchers to set up a program in cancer single cell biology
funded by the the Cancer Research Trust (http://cancerresearchtrust.org.au).

The Program led by Professor Alistair Forrest at the Harry Perkins Institute of
Medical Research is based in Perth, Western Australia and is a
collaboration involving all of the major Hospitals, Medical
Research Institutes and Universities in the region.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and highly
motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to work on the analysis of
single cell data. A particular focus will be on the study of
temporal dynamics and comparing pre- and post-treatment samples.

The position represents an exciting opportunity to work at the
crossroads between basic science and clinical practice. The
successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to be part
of a truly inter-disciplinary team composed of Molecular
Biologists, Statisticians, Computational Biologists and
Clinicians.
