The Opportunity
The PrEggNut Study is investigating the effects of pregnant and breastfeeding mothers eating different amounts of both egg and peanut from mid-pregnancy until their baby is four months of age. The key translatable message from this project will be to answer the question of whether higher maternal dietary intakes of eggs and peanuts during pregnancy and breastfeeding are needed to reduce the risk of food allergy development in babies.
The Role
The PrEggNut Study Research Assistant will undertake the screening, recruitment, randomisation and intervention period follow-up of research participants (pregnant and breastfeeding mothers) involved in the PrEggNut Study. This position will be based at the Perth Children's Hospital, but will require regular travel to the study recruitment sites, including the St John of God Health Care Hospitals (Subiaco, Murdoch, Midland and Mt Lawley) and Joondalup Health Campus.

- Demonstrate excellent team working skills as well as ability to work independently
- Time management skills/ability to prioritise workload
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and data management programs
- Attention to detail
The successful candidate will also need to provide a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check before commencement.
This is a part time (0.6 FTE) fixed term position for 12 months commencing 12th November 2018. The salary will be $59,763 Pro Rata with access to generous salary packaging.
