Research Assistant - the ORIGINS Project

To recruit participants for the ORIGINS project and sub-projects and to follow-up participants during the Project implementation

This is an exciting opportunity to join the ORIGINS Project playing a key role in recruiting participants and collection of data for the Project.
 
Based at the Joondalup Health Campus, the ORIGINS Project is a major longitudinal birth cohort study being conducted over 10 years by The Kids Research Institute Australia at the Joondalup Health Campus. The aim of ORIGINS is to build a research platform to enable world class investigations into when and why non-communicable diseases (NCDs) develop, through the study of early environments, maternal and paternal physical health, the microbiome and genetics.
 
This position will contribute to the day to day running of the ORIGINS Project, along with a team of other Research Assistants. This position will support the collection of quality research data, including specimens, as part of the Project.
 
We are looking for someone with relevant tertiary qualifications, experience of working in a team environment, and excellent attention to detail. Please refer to the Job Description available at www.telethonkids.org.au for more details about the requirements for the role.
 
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and Project participants so must possess strong communication skills. Above all, you must be committed to improving child health for the future.
 
This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE), fixed term for 12 months, with possibility of extension. Remuneration package includes access to generous salary packaging.

The successful applicant will need to provide a current National Police Check and WWCC before commencement.
