Research Assistant, FASD Research Australia

The Opportunity

A Research Assistant role within the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Research Australia Centre of Research Excellence based at The Kids Research Institute Australia (Perth, Australia). The research team conducts a range of research in FASD, and this position will contribute to improving diagnosis and understanding the impact of FASD in our community.

The Role

This position will involve conducting literature reviews, quantitative and qualitative data analysis as well as stakeholder engagement. This is a part time role, 4 days per week, fixed term for 12 months. Job sharing arrangements will be considered.

Your Experience

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • Research experience in a health or other science degree
  • High-level written and oral communication skills
  • Database creation and management
  • Quantitative and qualitative survey data analysis including use of SPSS or STATA, and NVivo
  • Ability to work independently as part of a broad, multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals, develop priorities and meet deadlines

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a Working with Children’s Check and a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
