Research Assistant/Officer Health Services Project

The Opportunity

There is an opening in the Health Promotion & Education Research & Translation team to support a project entitled ‘Health Services for People with Disability in Supported Accommodation’. The focus of the project is to understand the current level of access to health services, how organisations support their clients to access health services, and identify opportunities to improve health outcomes via improved health literacy and health information exchange.

The Role

This is a Part Time role (0.5 FTE) for a fixed term of 12 months with the opportunity for extension. The position will involve qualitative research methodologies, resource development, and engagement with our industry partners.

Your Experience

The successful applicant will have the following skills, qualifications, and attributes:

  • High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in qualitative research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team, and independently.
  • Time management and timeline management skills to ensure milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators are achieved.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and data management programs.
  • Demonstrated experience of successful development of ethics and governance documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in research project administration and oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience of successful stakeholder engagement, including government, industry and vulnerable consumer groups.
  • The ideal candidate is creative, ambitious, self-motivated, proactive, and reliable.

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
