The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Research Coordinator to coordinate clinical research studies being undertakne by the AREST CF team.
The AREST CF team is a collaboration of specialist paediatric cystic fibrosis centres in Perth and Melbourne. Our team consists of doctors, researchers, scientists, research management and students dedicated to the improvement of respiratory health and outcomes in children with cystic fibrosis.
The program focuses on the assessment, treatment and prevention of cystic fibrosis lung disease in young children. By preventing lung disease early in life we believe that individuals with cystic fibrosis will live longer fulfilling lives.
This is a full time role fixed term for 12 months.
The Role
- Study Coordination:
- Coordination of participant visits, including preparation of study materials, communicating with participant families and Hospital staff
- Management of participant documentation
- Collection of participant visit and research data
- Entry of data into study database/s
- Maintenance of electronic and hard copy study master file/s
- Collection and maintenance of staff qualification and training materials, in accordance with GCP and Institute SOPs
- Quality Management
- Coordination of Ethics and Governance processes for research studies
- Contribution to Respiratory Research Activities
- Consumer reference group and community event coordination
The Experience
• Undergraduate Degree, in life sciences
• Experience in clinical research
• Good understanding of research methodology
• Experience with research ethics processes
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Confidence to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and a demanding schedule, time-management skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks and work to targets
• Ability to establish constructive working relationships with parents, their children and with fellow colleagues
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to participate in the planning and coordination of projects
• Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism when working with families
The successful candidate will be asked to provide a satisfactory National Police Check and a Working with Children’s Check prior to commencement.
