Research Officer in Aboriginal Lung Health

An exciting opportunity to work in the Children's Lung Health research team to improve lung health in Aboriginal children and their families

At Telethon Kids, we've created a blueprint for a new kind of research institute  - one that brings together community, researchers, practitioners, policy makers and funders, who share our vision to improve the health and wellbeing of children through excellence in research.
The Children's Lung Health team is led by Associate Professor Graham Hall and operates between the Institute and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. Our group has several major ongoing projects investigating lung health in children and their families.

We are seeking a dynamic Research Officer to be involved in an Aboriginal lung health project in partnership with Aboriginal Medical Services.

This role will suit individuals with a passion for improving lung health in children and their families and in particular with Aboriginal communities. We are looking for forward thinking individuals who are able to work independently, are comfortable in dealing with families and children and who are looking to develop a career in Aboriginal lung health.

This full-time position is available for a fixed-term of two years, with the possibility of extension. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Generous salary packaging is also available.

The Telethon Kids Institute is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and actively welcomes applications from people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.
