Research Project Coordinator, Health Promotion & Education Research

Fixed term position for 12 months/0.8 FTE

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the Talk Early Talk Often (TETO) Project. This role will be responsible for ensuring the project achieves the aim to develop and trial a sustainable intervention targeting parents of Yr7 students that will be delivered, together with a student curriculum, through metropolitan and regional WA schools.

We are looking for someone who has completed a PhD in Health Promotion or related field and can demonstrate experience in the following:

  • Child health promotion research project management
  • Developing health promotion intervention materials and research instruments
  • Coordinating community and other stakeholder groups
  • Preparing ethics research applications
  • Knowledge of research methodologies
  • Setting goals, developing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Data analysis (SPSS or Stata) and management skills
  • Scientific paper preparation and submission
  • High-level written and oral communication skills
  • Working independently and meeting deadlines 

The successful candidate will need to provide a National Police Check and Working with children check prior to commencement.
