Miriam Posselt is Senior Research and Evaluation Officer at The Kids Research Institute Australia.
Miriam has a background in psychology and has previously held both academic and clinical roles.
She completed her PhD at the University of Adelaide in 2016 and a Master of Clinical Psychology at Victoria University in 2017. Miriam’s role as part of the Early Years Systems Evidence Team is to support the delivery of high-quality research and evaluation projects in collaboration with not-for-profit organisations and government departments.
Miriam has a particular interest in posttraumatic mental health and working with people from marginalised backgrounds. Specifically, her research and clinical expertise cover the fields of child and youth health and wellbeing, parenting and family systems, refugee & culturally and linguistically diverse communities, suicide prevention, post-disaster (bushfire) mental health including working with rural communities, domestic and family violence, and military and veteran mental health.
Miriam is experienced in collaborating with not-for-profit and government organisations with the goal of improving outcomes for communities through practice and policy change. She is experienced in stakeholder engagement, developing and maintaining relationships and collaborations, and designing and implementing both qualitative and quantitative projects.
