Sam earned her Bachelor of Psychology from Curtin University in 2014 and went on to complete her Master of Occupational Therapy in 2018. Since then, she has worked primarily in the not-for-profit community mental health space.

Working from a person-centred perspective with a recovery focus, Sam is passionate about supporting people to live a life that is personally meaningful for them.

Prior to starting with The Kids Research Institute Australia, Sam worked within a sub-acute mental health residential facility supporting consumers to build their capacity in a range of areas as well as develop crisis and prevention strategies.

With a focus on occupation at it’s core, Sam’s practice is informed by a range of evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
