Support from Lotterywest will enable Perth's The Kids for Child Health Research to significantly upgrade its information technology infrastructure to keep pace with the requirements of cutting-edge science.
The grant for $670,126 will allow the Institute to purchase computers and software to ensure researchers have the latest, up-to-date information technology to conduct their research projects.
Mr Bruce McHarrie, the Institute's Director of Operations, said the Lotterywest grant demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the health and wellbeing of West Australian children, adolescents and families.
"This support for fundamental but important equipment and software means we can focus our funds and efforts into research that improves the lives of children. We are extremely grateful to Lotterywest for funding research infrastructure."
The Lotterywest grant will ensure the Institute's computer infrastructure is up to industry standards and provide our researchers with information technology and tools to undertake medical research including software programs for complex data analysis and interpretation of results.
