Outstanding paediatrician and child health researcher named WA Australian of the Year finalist

Telethon Kids Institute researcher Dr James Fitzpatrick has been named a finalist in the WA Australian of the Year awards for his work to reduce FASD.

Telethon Kids Institute researcher Dr James Fitzpatrick has been named a finalist in the WA Australian of the Year awards for his work to reduce alcohol related harm in babies. 

The former infantry soldier turned paediatrician and child health researcher is an Australian and world leader in the area of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). 

Telethon Kids Institute Director Professor Jonathan Carapetis congratulated Dr Fitzpatrick on a well-deserved achievement.
