An immunometabolomic approach to unmask developmental regulation of innate immunity and asthma risk

Investigators: Anthony Bosco, Deb Strickland, James Read, Mark Cruickshank, Patrick Holt

External collaborators: Prof David Broadhurst (Centre for Integrative Metabolomics & Computational Biology, Edith Cowan University)

Plain language summary:

Risk for development of childhood asthma is associated with dysregulated immune responses to viruses, and allergies to house dust mites. In this study we will employ systems biology to further our understanding of the factors that control the development of a healthy immune system that is resistant to the development of asthma and allergies.
