Project description
This project provides geospatial analysis for malaria risk stratification and intervention targeting. Bespoke models are developed, maintained and implemented for each country to reflect the particular epidemiology, data, and operational requirements of each setting and program.
The outputs produced by MAP have been utilized by CHAI for supporting governments with national-level targeting, quantification, and costing of malaria commodities for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment as well as high-resolution operational microplanning at foci level. These outputs have also been applied in myriad epidemiological data analyses, including determination of Community Health Worker placement, evaluation of intervention impact, identification of transmission foci, validation of surveillance data, and site selection for epidemiological research.
