Tassie Kids: Pathways

Tassie Kids will bring together information about what early childhood services families use across the first five years of a child’s life.

Investigators: Cate Taylor, Stephen Zubrick

External collaborators: Professor Alison Venn (The University of Tasmania), Professor David Preen (The University of Western Australia), Dr Emily Hansen (The University of Tasmania)

Children are our future. Their experiences in the first five years last a lifetime. Starting from birth, early childhood services aim to support parents to give every child the best start in life.

Tassie Kids will bring together information about what early childhood services families use across the first five years of a child’s life.

Information about different services that families use will be brought together using Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Education records. These services include Child Health and Parenting Services and Launching into Learning.

Information about families’ experiences of early childhood services will be collected from parents and carers of young children and people who provide the different services. These service providers include child health nurses and teachers.
