The PREDICT study was a world-first clinical study involving a large international team characterizing the maturation of innate immune responses in preterm infants during the first four weeks of life, the period of greatest risk for sepsis. The aim of this study was to identify immunological markers that predict the risk of sepsis. The data collected for the PREDICT study is extensive and currently being analysed.
