Factors influencing participation in home, school, and community settings by 6- to 9-year-old children born preterm: a qualitative descriptive studyThere is no published information on preterm children's activities and participation during middle childhood, a time when growth and development are characterised by increasing motor, reasoning, self-regulation, social and executive functioning skills. This study explored the health, activities and participation of children born very preterm during middle childhood (6-9 years) from the perspectives of their parents.

Engaging longitudinal cohort participants in a research priority setting process for the Raine StudyThe Raine Study is a long-running study looking at the health and well-being of a group of Western Australian families for over 35 years. Participants are at the heart of the study, shaping its research direction and communication. While participants have previously contributed to research grant development, they had not been directly involved in setting the Raine Study’s overall research agenda.

Understanding Disclosure Decisions in Parents of Children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity DisorderParents of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) often make disclosure decisions about their child's ADHD on their behalf. While disclosure can facilitate access to support, it risks stigma. Despite ADHD being one of the most common neurodevelopmental conditions, little is known about parent's experiences in relating information about their child's ADHD diagnosis or medication use, to others.

An anti-junk food ad from a sports commercial break reduced junk food consumption inclinations, yet junk food ads had minimal to no impactIn Australia, there are concerns that unrestricted junk food advertising during sports broadcasts increases short-term junk food consumption among viewers. Therefore, the present study aimed to estimate the impact of junk food and anti-junk food advertising on consumption inclinations.

Living closer to the beach is associated with better socioemotional development in young boysNatural outdoor environments such as green and blue spaces have increasingly been seen as key health and wellbeing determinants for adults. However, it is unclear if these effects are seen in young children. We examined the associations between access to natural green and blue space and young children's socioemotional development.

Short-Term Diabetic Retinopathy Status in People with Type 1 Diabetes Commencing Automated Insulin DeliveryRapid improvements in glucose control may lead to early worsening of diabetic retinopathy (EWDR). There is a need to demonstrate safety in people commencing automated insulin delivery (AID) due to the known efficacy in rapid glycemic improvement. We aimed to investigate short-term DR outcomes in people (aged ≥13 years) with type 1 diabetes after initiation of AID (use ≥6 months).
