Amanda is a Certified Child Life Specialist and has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis on Child Life in Hospitals and Early Childhood Education.

This study is designed to identify the specific unique immune cell response that occurs in these children with recurrent disease.

Research

Vaccination is the injection of an inactivated bacteria or virus into the body. This simulated infection allows an individual's immune system to develop an adaptive immunity for protection against that type of illness. When a sufficiently large percentage of a population has been vaccinated, this results in herd immunity.
