The Opportunity

Led by Professor Andrew Whitehouse, the Autism Research Team, based at The Kids Research Institute Australia in Subiaco, are international research leaders in the understanding of autism. In 2018, CliniKids was established: a new clinical service providing intervention and diagnostic services for young children with developmental delays and/or autism spectrum disorder, and their families. This unique collaboration creates an exciting opportunity to blend clinical practice and research in a clinical setting. Key to CliniKids is the close measurement of outcomes for children receiving services, as well as the prompt translation of new intervention-research findings into practice.

The Role

We are seeking experienced a Clinical or Registered Psychologist with a special interest in autism. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated therapist who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children through an integrated clinical/research setting.

Remuneration package includes access to generous salary packaging.

This is a Full Time or Part Time role, for a fixed term of 12 months with the opportunity for extension.

Your Experience

Successful candidates will have the following skills/experience:

  • Minimum five years clinical experience providing intervention to pre-school children with autism
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment, diagnosis, and therapy/intervention for pre-school children with autism
  • A sound understanding of a range of evidenced based autism interventions. 
  • Eligible for a Medicare provider number
  • Eligible as a provider for NDIA
  • A strong work ethic with a flexible, collaborative team approach

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a Working with Children’s Check and a satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
