Tanisha is a Research Assistant in the Ear Health team, working on the Ear Portal and Healthy Ears projects. Her main tasks involve performing protocol-specific ear health assessments, participant recruitment, data collection and data management. Tanisha recently completed her Honours degree in 2022 on the topic of public health food and nutrition, with the University of Western Australia and The Kids Research Institute Australia. Tanisha also works in the PLAYCE team as a research assistant on the Activated OSHC program.

Tanisha’s research interests include public health, health promotion, ear health, physical activity, and public health nutrition. Tanisha is interested in health prevention and improving the health outcomes for all children.

The Impact of Waiting Times on Behavioral Outcomes for Children with Otitis Media: Results from an Urban Ear, Nose, and Throat Telehealth Service

Children with otitis media (OM) experience long waiting times to access Australia's public hospitals due to limited capacity. The aim of this article is to utilize an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) telehealth service (the Ear Portal) to examine whether delayed access to specialist care is associated with poorer behavioral outcomes for children with OM.
